Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Longmont! We are a group of Longmont citizens with different occupations, backgrounds and interests. We are all passionate about making the world a better place for children. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community as well as children all across the country and worldwide through unique innovative service projects and support to many local agencies serving children in need. These three remarkable young women have each received a $2,500 Scholarship! Pictured from Left to Right Angel Kho from Niwot HS will embark on a marketing journey at Denver University. Hannah Faith Kelty from Lyons Senior High will attend University of Northern CO, majoring in Elementary Ed. Larisa Cruth from Erie HS will attend UNC majoring in nursing. Congratulations to ALL our area High School Class of 2025 Graduates! We are so proud of all the students who applied and wish them all much success . The Best is Yet to Come! HS counseling offices have the information to apply for one of our wonderful scholarships!

TOYS FOR KIDS
Kiwanis of Longmont has delivered over 200,000 handmade wooden toys to local, state and county agencies and organizations serving children in need. Some toys also reach children in other states and foreign countries. Each toy is handmade by Kiwanis members who meet daily and weekly to “manufacture” the toys in what we fondly call the TOY FACTORY. The toys are made from donated repurposed wood from local contractors and a local furniture manufacturer which might be other wise discarded. The project started fourteen years ago as a way to bring our club members together for one very special project. We found many members had woodworking equipment as well as a love for creating items with wood. We began in a garage and now our factory has expanded to a large fully equipped shop. Each year approximately 10,000 toys are delivered to children. Outside volunteers such as woodcrafters, Scouting and school children of all ages pitch in to work in our factory to complete the toys for delivery by Christmas and Holiday distribution. For nearly seventy years our club has planned and organized the Boulder County Fair, Farm and Rodeo Parade. This popular yearly event draws entries from all over the county and state with thousands of spectators lining the parade route. 2025 brought 80 entries! Many colorful US Flag bearers, dancing groups, Cowboys, longhorns, horses, pigs, goats, our Boulder County 4-H Clubs, Scouts, farm equipment, antique/vintage vehicles, all school marching bands, car clubs, local businesses, groups from all over Colorado like the members of the El Jebel Shrine attend and Military Groups. The parade is a fixture in Longmont and is the biggest on record starting 157 years ago when the Boulder County Fair and Rodeo formed. PARADE DAY IS: SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 2026. PLAN TO ENTER! PLAN TO COME WATCH! The parade is the first Saturday in August starting at 10:00 AM in Roosevelt Park. Entry LINEUP starts at 7AM. All are welcome to enter. Entry forms may be found RIGHT BELOW THIS PARAGRAPH. PRINT YOUR COMPLETED FORM AND MAIL TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED ON THE ENTRY FORM. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL YOUR CONTACT INFO IS CORRECT. After your entry is received Parade Details with more information will be sent via EMAIL.
